TUS offers the option to mark your parts for you. We have a variety of machines for dot peening on our shop floor.
We also perform engraving on our dot peen units or on our CNC vertical mills. The available techniques are drag engraving and rotary engraving. The depth of the mark will be determined by your requirements or the standards that are applicable, typically ‘method 3’ in common Aerospace standards like AS478.

Machines for Engraving and Dot Peening
Stylus/Scribe Markers are ‘plotters’ for inscribing texts at up to 6 characters per second. The marking is accomplished by a diamond or carbide tip. The machine is equipped with a vertical compensation mechanism that allows for marking on uneven or slightly inclined surfaces.
Dot Peening machines and Data matrix printers
Data Matrix printers and Dot Peening machines use dot stamps arranged on marking heads. The systems are in compliance with the ECC200 standard and the AS 9132 standard. Type Wheel marking uses an electronically controlled type wheel for marking variable texts with a speed of up to 6 characters per second. The type wheel can be fitted with up to 96 individual engraved characters.
